Croydon Umpires and Scorers Association
Affiliated to ECB OA and Surrey ECBOA
President: Geoff Harrison

Croydon & District Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers was set up in 1983.

Our purpose is to train and support umpires and scorers and we run annual Training at Addiscombe Cricket Club at Sandilands in East Croydon.

At our Annual General Meeting in March 2007, we discussed the on-going negotiations between the ACU&S, the ECB and ICUS with regard to the future training of cricket officials, both in this and other countries where the game is played. Our Association had always been affiliated to, but independent of, the ACU&S and we now enjoy the same relationship with the ECB.We shall continue to play a leading role in training and spreading the word of cricket law and look forward to working with all interested parties.

We also agreed to modify our name and are now the Croydon Umpires and Scorers Association. Our catchment area, however, reaches beyond the borough boundaries: from Epsom in the south-west, our boundary moves as far north as the Thames through Kingston and Richmond, sharing members with West Surrey ACU&S. The boundary moves east along the Thames to Greenwich and then south through Beckenham and Bromley, overlapping with Metropolitan Kent ACU&S. Our southern boundary is the Surrey county border, beyond which our neighbour is East Surrey ACU&S.

We offer a warm welcome to anyone of any age and gender who is interested in any aspect of umpiring and scoring, whether you simply love the game or are fully qualified.

We organise social events throughout the year as well as formal training Training from October to March and you are invited to Contact any of us for further information.
